Have we reached peak pumpkin-food and beverage products? We here at LloydPans hopes so. While we love that fall brings an assortment of new pumpkin-themed products from our favorite bakeries, food manufacturers and beverage makers, we also can’t stop thinking about how many other wonderful fall flavors are out there to capitalize on.
We took a look at fall menus from some of our favorite bakery cafes to see what’s trending beyond pumpkin spice lattes (which debuted in August this year!!!).
For the first time, this coffee giant rolled out its popular Pumpkin Spice Latte in August, amid the heat of summer. That’s noteworthy in itself, but the company’s new fall menu also raised its eyebrows with the inclusion of two new cold drinks. Although it may seem counter-intuitive to roll out cold drinks in the fall, it makes sense when you look at the booming growth of cold-brew coffee and iced coffees. On the food side, the company will be launching an apple cider doughnut, which we can’t wait to try!
If you have a sweet spot for maple syrup, head to Dunkin Donuts this fall where maple-themed items dominate the menu. On the drink side, the company is bringing back its Maple Pecan Flavored coffees this year. On the food side, the company is launching a Maple Cream Cheese Spread and a Belgian Waffle Breakfast Sandwich featuring a flavor blend of maple, bacon and savory, buttery waffle.
A new fall menu without any pumpkin products?!?! Kudos to Corner Bakery Café for focusing its fall menu on a classic food pairing, apples and walnuts, and breathing new life into it through some innovative menu items. Our indulgent side can’t wait to try the Apple Walnut Pancakes with a cinnamon crunch streusel and served with vanilla maple syrup and Applewood smoked bacon. Our healthy eating side is looking forward to the Apple Walnut Oatmeal with caramelized apples and toasted walnuts.
