It’s one of our favorite shows of the year. LloydPans got its start in the pizza industry, and Pizza Expo has always been a great place for us to see old friends and customers, meet new ones and talk about why our pans and coating systems are the best in the industry.
It’s also a great time to introduce new products, and we’re pleased to announce the expansion of our popular Detroit pizza pan line with a new perforated pan! This pan joins our already extensive line of Detroit-style pizza pans, which consist of traditional pans in two sizes plus an extra-large size, lids, and our innovative pan with slightly rounded corners.
The new perforated pan we’re introducing at Pizza Expo brings even more heat to the center of the pie, allowing moisture to easily escape. This ensures you’re attaining the trademark Detroit-style pizza crust, which is crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle.
The pan comes in a 10×14-inch size, and is 2.5-inches deep with sloped sides. The perforated holes in the pan have raised edges, which reduces oil leakage from the pan. If you know anything about Detroit-style pizza, this is essential as the oil is key to delivering a crispy crust.
We’re thrilled to launch this new pan at Pizza Expo. Our Detroit-style pizza pans have made quite a splash since we introduced them, and most recently were recommended in this great Serious Eats article on Detroit-style pizzas!
